Sara Kaiser and I were able to keep the Girls on the Run program going virtually this Spring! We met with the girls ,who ranged from Class III-V, every week on zoom to go over lessons. This past weekend was our virtual 5K. The girls did awesome. 

The theme of Girls on the Run this year was, "Girls Move Mountains." Our lessons covered subjects such as learning that we are all unique and each have characteristics that make us special, learning ways to deal with stress during troubling times, learning how to become great leaders, learning how to stand up for yourself and what makes good friendships. I was constantly impressed by how mature the girls were and how great the discussions were with each topic.

Along with lessons, the girls worked on improving their physical health by preparing and participating in the 5K. I was proud of how many stuck with the program remotely, several of them doing most of the lessons on their own! Congratulations to this group of girls who will no doubt move mountains!
