We will spend the first part of the trip in London, tracing Shakespeare’s steps from Shoreditch to Southwark. We will see the foundations of the theaters in which Shakespeare worked, from the Theater and the Curtain, to the Rose and, of course, The Globe. We will see plays at the Shakespeare’s Globe, the Royal National Theater, The Old Vic, and many cool, lesser-known theaters. We will see non-Shakespeare plays, as well.

Then we will head to Shakespeare’s home town, Stratford Upon Avon. In Stratford, we’ll visit Shakespeare’s home, his school, and the church where he is buried. We’ll visit the home of his wife, Anne Hathaway, and his daughter Susanna. We’ll row on the placid Avon River. We’ll visit the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, an excellent museum. And, of course, we’ll see plays at the Royal Shakespeare Company, which resides in Stratford.
