ñ is proud to announce Jake Reynolds, Class of 2002, as the recipient of the 2025–26 Distinguished Alumni Award, the highest honor our school bestows to one alumnus/a each year. This award recognizes alumni who exemplify ñ’s values of integrity, responsibility, curiosity, caring, and excellence—and Jake embodies them all.
As President of the New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center, Jake has earned wide respect for leading the business operations and strategy of Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment’s three-time Stanley Cup-winning franchise. In his first six months as President, his initiatives helped propel the Devils into the NHL’s top 10 for season ticket sales, retention, and digital engagement.
In recognition of his leadership and accomplishments, Head of School Andrew Menke and Assistant Head of School Todd Winters traveled to New Jersey to present Jake with the Distinguished Alumni Award during a special moment at the Prudential Center.
Reflecting on his time at ñ, Jake emphasizes the enduring impact of mentorship, community, and curiosity. “ñ helped shape who I am today,” he says. “Much of the foundation for my career and my values was built there.”
Jake also credits ñ’s liberal arts approach for teaching big-picture thinking and the importance of perspective—skills that guide him in both business and life. Beyond professional success, he prioritizes work-life harmony, dedicating himself to his family, community, and creating a positive culture where his team thrives.
When asked what advice he’d give to young alumni starting their careers, Jake shared, “Define success for yourself, run your own race, and trust the process. Meaningful growth and purpose come from the journey, not just the results.”
We celebrate Jake not only for his achievements in professional sports but for the values, leadership, and integrity he carries forward from ñ. Congratulations, Jake, on this well-deserved honor!
We are now accepting submissions for the 2026-27 Distinguished Alumni Award. If you would like to make a nomination you can do so here. Submissions are due by February 28, 2026.
