Opening remarks given by Associate Head of School, Brandon Bennett:聽
Our mission as a school, as I鈥檓 sure you all know, is not to issue awards, but rather to invite each of you to participate in the opportunities and challenges of a demanding liberal arts learning experience. In defining excellence as one of our core values, we say this:
We embrace elevated standards of knowledge, performance, and character. We strive for excellence in everything we do, starting with excellence of effort.
As we celebrate particular examples of excellence of knowledge, performance, and character in members of our Class of 2025 (and a few others), we are also celebrating the aspiration that animates our learning community, and the excellence of effort we see around us every day. It is that excellence of effort that allows for the highest and most meaningful forms of insight and understanding over the span of a lifetime.
Thank you all for being a part of this celebration of the aspiration and effort that animate our ongoing work together as a school. To all the students specifically honored, we are grateful for the example you provide to all of us. Your determination, hard work, and excellence inspire us to rededicate ourselves to the quest of being and doing better over a lifetime, always learning, always seeking knowledge and understanding so that we might give back to the communities that have nurtured us.
Opening remarks given by Class XII Dean, Erika Munson:

The 绿帽社 Dean’s Award acknowledges that a community doesn’t spontaneously come into existence. It is built bit by bit by the willing contributions of those it seeks to serve. Every year two students in Classes IX-XII are recognized for their positive and meaningful contributions to 绿帽社鈥檚 Upper School community.
I am happy to present this year鈥檚 recipients of the 绿帽社 Dean鈥檚 Award:
Rella J.Rella is 鈥渨alking jazz hands” in the best, cheerful way. She brightens the room as soon as she walks in with a big smile and an enthusiastic hello to her peers and teachers. When she asks you how you are doing, she truly means it. Rella genuinely cares for the welfare of all around her and is deeply aware of those typically marginalized. She wants to understand other people’s experiences and offers her support and compassion. She is authentically herself and encourages others to be the same. When someone is alone, Rella notices, and she will often bring them into the community with her genuine curiosity and engaging conversation. Additionally, Rella is a fabulous student. She contributes to discussions, and her demeanor and approach invite other students to contribute. She puzzles about aspects of the curriculum she doesn’t immediately grasp and has the grit to dig in until she “gets it.” Rella is the real deal and truly embodies our 绿帽社 values.
Gunnar F. Gunnar is curious about big ideas. He is deeply interested in the world around him and wants to learn about it. He brings a genuine openness to every discussion and enthusiasm to every classroom. While he isn鈥檛 a perfect student, he may be prone to a little procrastination, he has tenacity and a growth mindset and rolls up his sleeves to get the hard work done in the end. Gunnar is an empathetic listener. He rejoices in everyone鈥檚 triumphs and offers support to anyone who is struggling. He is a friend to all who need one and can talk to anyone. Gunnar is deeply aware of everyone鈥檚 feelings and strives to build harmony in our community. He is inclusive, generous, and one of the most kind-hearted people you will ever meet. Gunnar is a quiet leader who people just naturally gravitate to. We are grateful for the warm, calming energy Gunnar brings to our 绿帽社 community.
Nitya S. Nitya is a shining example of how one student can positively shape an entire community. Her impact at 绿帽社 spans music, academics, athletics, and most notably, the way she uplifts those around her. As a key member of the band and percussion ensembles, she brings dedication, leadership, and a passion for excellence that sets the tone for her peers. Academically, Nitya excels across disciplines鈥攆rom calculus to chemistry, Latin to Chinese鈥攎odeling intellectual curiosity and perseverance. But beyond her many achievements, it鈥檚 her warmth, kindness, and quiet strength that truly define her contribution to our community. She is deeply respected by teachers and classmates alike for her positivity, resilience, and generosity of spirit. Whether helping others in class, balancing her many commitments with grace, or simply bringing joy to a conversation, Nitya makes 绿帽社 a better place every day. Her presence leaves a lasting and meaningful impact on all who know her.
Aadam S. Aadam is a student whose presence enriches the 绿帽社 community in profound and lasting ways. Deeply conscientious and intellectually engaged, he brings not only academic excellence but also a spirit of generosity and collaboration to every space he enters. In the classroom, Aadam models rigor through his thoughtful questions, attentive listening, and willingness to engage in meaningful intellectual challenges. He is a supportive and giving classmate, always ready to work in any group and help others understand complex material. Beyond academics, Aadam contributes widely鈥攈e鈥檚 a leader in the orchestra program, a top performer in Science Olympiad with national recognition, and is currently embarking on a pharmacology internship through the University of Utah. Through all of this, Aadam remains humble, kind, and community-minded. His quiet leadership, intellectual integrity, and willingness to lift those around him make him a true builder of the 绿帽社 community and a role model for his peers.
Dalloway S.Dalloway is a force for good. In fact, she is such a force that we find ourselves consistently thanking our lucky stars that it is for good; otherwise, we鈥檇 all be doomed. And then, as she goes about manifesting goodness all around her 鈥 good attitudes, good friends, good growth, good work 鈥 she is simultaneously just so cool about it all that we have the feeling that all this goodness is effortless for her. But I know better. Dalloway, it takes enormous commitment and determination to keep your values centered in your heart: when you pull others in, when you rise to a challenge, when you take the time to be kind to someone even if it is not the efficient thing to do in that moment 鈥 this is where we feel your force. Shine on, Dalloway. We are grateful for your light, your energy, and your gravitational pull toward the center in our community.
Liam B.Liam Bennett is beloved around here. No matter whether you are in Liam鈥檚 innermost circle of friends or if you鈥檙e in a wider orbit, you know Liam 鈥 for his humor, his unfailing kindness, and his sincere, unapologetic ability to be 100% himself. Liam sets the bar for us all: he knows that it is never too late to do the right thing, and he has an uncanny ability to invite others into his sphere of confidence and inclusion, no matter how quirky, how uncomfortable, or how hesitant you are. If you need someone to dance near at a dance 鈥 find Liam. If you need a hug on a bad day, find Liam. If you need to ask someone a tough social question and you want a straight answer that will always lead with kindness 鈥 find Liam. If you just need to Jump Up Jump Up and Get Down 鈥 find Liam. He will jump around.
Sarina ScofieldSarina brings kindness and caring to the many parts of 绿帽社 she inhabits. Her grace and skill as a dancer – particularly as Dulcinea in this spring鈥檚 Don Quixote ballet鈥搃s topped only by the humility, and maturity that have made her a quiet leader. Younger dancers look up to her and listen when she speaks. She is a bright light in the orchestra where she looks for the good in everyone. In academic classes, her presence helps others stay positive and think more deeply. Sarina has the gift of calmness and composure that assures those around her that everything is going to be alright.
Jackson Sandstrom Jackson is fascinated with the world around him. His friendly curiosity motivates him to include everyone. Jackson has shown by his contributions to yearbook, Outdoor, and in the classroom, that he is exceptional at figuring out what the people around him need and how he can serve them. He wants to share his experience with you. Ask him about his Outdoor adventures or how he created a ceramic sculpture and you鈥檒l learn what is important to him. Although it probably happens now and then, it is very hard to find Jackson in a bad mood. He can cheer you up with a story or a joke in no time. Jackson has been a tremendous community member who brings consistent dedication, enthusiasm and a palpable sense of loyalty to each and every group that he works with.
The Cum Laude Society is a century-old organization dedicated to the goal of recognizing and honoring true academic excellence. Its member institutions include the very finest independent schools in the country and around the world.
Every Cum Laude school may admit a fraction of its graduating class into the Society, and may establish the criteria for admission as it sees fit. 绿帽社 has chosen to identify induction into the Cum Laude Society as the highest academic honor its students can earn. To be chosen for Cum Laude Society honors, students must have established remarkable records of broad, deep, sustained, first-rate achievement across all program areas in the Upper School.
The 2025 绿帽社 Cum Laude scholars were officially inducted into the Society at a dinner with their parents earlier in the spring, but here at this Awards Assembly we want to recognize them again:

Remarks shared by Andrew Patteson, Director of Arts:
The 2025 Visual Arts Department Award goes to Jack Khachatryan. This multi-talented engineer-athlete-artist pursued our Photography track, and he has thrived there.
From the beginning — in Class VIII — Jack did well in his photo classes, and he had an unusually keen sense of photographic vision for a beginner. But he had never really seen himself as someone who was into “art” — so in upper school, even though he was doing standout work, he often seemed surprised by the accolades he received, and he seemed reluctant to accept that he really was quite good at this.
We love thinking about his hesitant beginning, because that young photographer went on to embrace this unexpected passion — he became deeply engaged in creating, refining, thinking, imagining — in all of the work of an artist.
He went on to have several solo shows of his photographs out in the community, and that was all done completely independently — it was his spark to make it happen. He also went on to win a raft of Scholastic Art Awards, including a Gold Key Portfolio.
And he went on to create one of the most fearlessly experimental senior projects that our photography program has ever produced. It is a fascinating body of work that none of us — including Jack — could ever have foreseen when he was first starting out.
For his accomplished tenure in our studios and his dedicated engagement with art making, we are proud to present Jack with this award.
Remarks shared by Ann Henriksen, Computer Science Department Chair:
The winner of the Computer Science Department Award is Lisa Song.
Lisa eagerly completed all of 绿帽社鈥檚 Computer Science courses starting early in Upper School, making meaningful contributions throughout. She began with self-taught coding experience鈥攁n early sign of her intellectual curiosity, independence, and determination to master complex ideas.
Lisa demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to clearly communicate advanced concepts. In her Data Science courses, she went well beyond the curriculum, consistently teaching herself new techniques to solve problems with depth and creativity. Her high-quality projects鈥攔anging from wildfire simulations to models analyzing the effects of segregation, racism, and redlining鈥攁re still used as examples in 绿帽社 classes today.
Other standout work includes predictive modeling, and a thoughtful ecological analysis of disease spread and food chain dynamics in Yellowstone. Lisa鈥檚 drive to apply her skills to real-world issues reflects a desire not just to learn, but to inspire change and deepen understanding.
Lisa, your work in computer science is both meaningful and impactful. Congratulations from all of your 绿帽社 Computer Science teachers鈥攚e鈥檙e so proud of you.
Remarks shared by Annie Semans, Dance Department Chair:
I am starting this letter with one of my favorite quotes by Elizabeth Gilbert, because it makes me think of you.
In a world of disorder and disaster and fraud, sometimes only beauty can be trusted. Only artistic excellence is incorruptible…to devote yourself to the creation and enjoyment of beauty then, can be a serious business –not always necessarily a means of escaping reality, but sometimes a means of holding on to the real when everything else is flaking away into rhetoric and plot.
Our Dance Department prize goes to Sarina Scofield, for all her devoted time, energy and creation of beauty. Thank you for showing what is real by being an artist鈥 for practicing your craft with integrity, for being open to new ideas, and for your vulnerability in showing us who you are. Thank you for your kindness and generosity, and for the example you have been to those around you. We are better for knowing you and witnessing your dance.
Remarks shared by Dr. Matt Davis, English Department Chair:
The winner of the 2024鈥25 English Department Award is Bella Raemisch. Anyone who has undertaken the serious study of literature knows how difficult it is. Innate talent and a love of literature contribute to keeping us on the path when the going gets particularly tough, but discipline and commitment are how we reach the ultimate goal. Bella has all of these qualities, and that鈥檚 what makes her such an inspiring and dedicated student of literature. She also recognizes that to read is to gain a lived perspective of what it means to be human. Bella is a student who is invested in learning about others and has an immense capacity for empathy. She connects with characters intuitively to a degree that is uncommon in a student so young, and it makes discussing books with her incredibly fun. Her writing reflects her incisive mind and also her curiosity, as she explores characters鈥 motivations and wonders why they make the decisions they make. She expresses her opinions with passion, and she makes it clear to anyone lucky enough to talk about literature with her that this is important. Percival Everett says that there is no more subversive act than reading. There is perhaps no other act so fundamentally human, and Bella understands this better than most. Congratulations, Bella. This award is well deserved.
Remarks shared by Skyler Anderson, History Department Chair:
On behalf of the history department I am proud to present our departmental award to Declan Dubois.
One of the things we look for when we consider who to give this award to is passion for the subject and it is evident that Declan is passionate about history. From his own artwork inspired by the early modern engravings of Albrecht D眉rer, to calling booksellers in Geneva to try and track down a specific book about Geneva鈥檚 religious history, to dressing up like a Roman Centurion in independent study videos, Declan has time and again demonstrated his love for history while thriving in the most challenging history courses 绿帽社 has to offer.
Declan has also demonstrated that passion for history well beyond the scope of 绿帽社. You might not know that Declan has been showcasing the history of each of the Roman Emperors starting with Augustus in a series of videos on his YouTube channel. Between the research, scripting, animating, and editing, each video takes well over 50 hours to complete鈥擠eclan has created at least 18 so far. While some of this work has fulfilled independent study requirements at 绿帽社, that vast majority of it was simply a historical passion project.
They say it takes 10,000 hours to master something, my rough estimate is that Declan is one fifth of the way towards mastering history鈥擨 hope this award serves as motivation for 8,000 hours left to go.
Congratulations Declan.
Remarks shared by Megan Orton, Math Department Chair:
The winner of the Math Department Award for 2023-2024 is Kiran Reddy
I first met Kiran when he was in fifth grade. At that young age, he would read math books while lying in bed at night, and he joked that it was his form of “bedtime stories.” That passion has stuck with him since that time. After completing the BC Calculus curriculum as a mere 9th grader, Kiran has been studying a variety of advanced mathematical topics, such as differential equations, linear algebra, complex analysis, and real analysis. With the number of times he has aided us in planning and delivering lessons, we consider Kiran an honorary member of the mathematics department.
As the coach of the Utah ARML Team, Hiram Golze has seen all of the top math students graduating from Utah in the past 15 years, and he affirms that Kiran is stronger than all of them by some margin. He simply has a strong command of the concepts and an unmatchable enthusiasm that makes him a natural leader among his peers. While he’s been a participant, our team has grown from having around 10 students at each practice to having 30-35 students at each practice, and this is in no small part due to the culture he’s helped foster. It is particularly fitting that he wins the Mathematics Departmental Prize this year, as his leadership and community building skills underscore our theme of 鈥淭ogether.鈥
Congratulations Kiran from the Math Department!
Remarks shared by Kathy Morris, Music Department Chair:
On behalf of the Music Department at the 绿帽社, I am honored to present this year鈥檚 Music Award to Connor Greally.
Connor is the most celebrated bassist we鈥檝e ever had at 绿帽社. His musicianship is exceptional – marked by precision, depth, beautiful tone and a natural musicality that elevates every ensemble he joins. But what truly sets Connor apart is the way he uplifts those around him. He makes every group better – not just through his playing, but through his presence.
Connor leads with quiet confidence and unwavering kindness. He brings a calm, steady energy to every rehearsal and performance. His humility, thoughtfulness, and deep respect for others have made him a role model in our program.
Over the years, Connor has grown into a musician and leader whose influence will be felt long after he leaves 绿帽社. The Harvard orchestra is lucky to have him. His legacy is not only in his extraordinary talent, but in the spirit of collaboration, care, and excellence he brings to everything he does.
Congratulations, Connor!
Remarks shared by Craig Morris, Athletic Director:
On behalf of the Athletics Department, we are proud to honor Preston Jenkins. an exceptional student-athlete whose commitment, leadership, and love for team competition set him apart.
Whether on the basketball court or the tennis court, Preston has consistently elevated those around him. In basketball, he anchored our defense with relentless rebounding and became a dependable scorer in the post 鈥 a true force on both ends of the floor. But beyond the stats, he brought a work ethic that made his teammates better every day.
In tennis, Preston chose to play doubles 鈥 not for the spotlight, but because he loved the strategy, the shared responsibility, and most of all, being part of a team. And what a doubles player he became 鈥 earning three 3A 1st Doubles State Titles and helping lead 绿帽社 to two 3A team championships, including this year’s dramatic finish, where his title-clinching match secured the championship by a single point.
Preston鈥檚 work ethic, humility, and unselfish spirit have left a lasting legacy at 绿帽社. Please join me in congratulating Preston 鈥 a true competitor and teammate in every sense of the word.
Remarks shared by James Harris, Science Department Chair:
The 2025 Science Department Award is presented to Keean Kawamoto
Keean loves learning science and is especially drawn to research because he enjoys the process of discovery of new knowledge. Even more so, he enjoys the application of science knowledge. How can we put to good use what we discover? And because he is an exceptionally caring human, Keean can’t help but think ahead to how science can improve lives.
An example: Keean spent countless hours in a lab at the University of Utah over the past year researching a single molecule known as heparin. With better understanding of this molecule, there is the possibility of therapies that could treat a range of maladies. The opportunity to make a breakthrough, via hard work and hard thinking, is what motivates Keean.
While exceptionally capable at working independently, Keean especially enjoys collaborating to solve problems. Whether examining Little Cottonwood Creek water for microplastics, designing lab activities for HOSA, leading the Science Olympiad team to Nationals, or mentoring students just discovering Chemistry, Keean celebrates the teamwork and human connection that is the foundation of science.
Keean has proven himself to be an exceptional leader who guides with rare maturity; he identifies problems in advance, initiates effective action, and recognizes team members for their successes. Keean finds difficulties not discouraging but inspiring, and often worthy of a good laugh. Teachers, peers, and younger students all greatly enjoy his company.
We have the utmost confidence that Keean, already a scientist, will make the world a better place.
Remarks shared by Javen Tanner, Theater Department Chair:
The 2025 Theater Department Award goes to Joclyn Nelson. Joclyn began her theater career at 绿帽社 by being one of those very few Lower School students that doesn鈥檛 get cast in the play. (She had to be out of town for much of the process.) But she came back strong in Class V, playing Dromio of Syracuse in Shakespeare鈥檚 The Comedy of Errors, and brought the house down. Since then, Joclyn has appeared in more than twenty productions, here at 绿帽社 and professionally. She has played roles as various as Hermione in The Winter鈥檚 Tale, Kosykh in Ivanov, Rosalind in As You Like It, Emily in Our Town, and both stepsisters in two different productions of the same version of Cinderella. Joclyn is endlessly curious. She studies philosophy, and writes excellent poetry and prose. She loves the big conversations and the big human story. This fall, she will combine her love of theater and writing at USC鈥檚 School of Cinematic Arts, writing for screen and television. And we will miss her. Congratulations, Joclyn.
Remarks shared by Heidi Poole, World Languages Department Chair:
This year鈥檚 World Language department prize is presented to Ellen Kennedy. We recognize Ellen for her outstanding work in Spanish and for the enthusiasm she brings to every class. Ellen鈥檚 love for the language is contagious, and her charisma and positive attitude are a source of inspiration to everyone around her. Her appreciation for the Spanish language goes hand in hand with her respect and appreciation for those who speak it. She values 鈥嬧媎ifferent cultural perspectives and seeks to understand not only the words, but also the ancestral traditions, stories, and emotions behind them. Ellen, we encourage you to continue your path ahead with the same energy, authenticity, and love of learning. Your ability to communicate in Spanish is a gift, and we are sure you will continue to positively impact those around you. Thank you for reminding us of the value of learning a new language with dedication and an open heart.
Each spring, we are honored to participate in awarding the Seal of Biliteracy鈥攁 nationally recognized award that honors students who have reached a high level of proficiency in two or more languages. These students have worked diligently to reach a level of fluency in languages that will serve them well in the coming years. Congratulations to the following students:
Anne H. 鈥25Austin B. 鈥25Aiden P. 鈥25Meryam T. 鈥25Sutton K. 鈥25Halee H. 鈥25Jerry X. 鈥26
Charlotte O. 鈥26Thomas O. 鈥26Danyou T. 鈥26Selena S. 鈥26Sadie H. 鈥26Abigail Q. 鈥26
Remarks shared by Casey O鈥橫alley, Academic Dean:
Each year, the school awards the Junior Book Award to the members of Class XI who have demonstrated exceptional performance in their academic endeavors 鈥 both by their academic performance, their selection of rigorous courses, and in their willingness to think deeply and question ideas in and out of the classroom. These students hold the highest academic academic records in the class and exhibit great intellectual curiosity and generosity.
I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the students who have achieved this honor this year. I know that it has taken a lot of hard work, and I commend you all personally for doing it. The winners of 2025 Junior Book Award are:
Grant B. 鈥26Tindur C. 鈥26Fiona J. 鈥26Charlotte O. 鈥26
Liam R. 鈥26Lydia S. 鈥26Jerry X. 鈥26
Remarks shared by Andrew Menke, Head of School:
Anne is a highly engaged community member, serving as the school鈥檚 Vice President of School Spirit. She is an accomplished athlete and tri-sport team captain, a thoughtful and gracious conversationalist and one of the most present, invested, and friendly students we have had at 绿帽社.
Anne is known across campus for her ever-present smile, happy, authentic engagement, and contagious energy. Anne is a strong and dedicated high honors student, who makes every classroom better with her earnest commitment and enthusiastic desire to learn. She is a leader in class discussion and invites others to take risks with her inviting enthusiasm for learning. Anne models an impressive work ethic and strives for excellence with tenacity and resolve.
Anne is a lifelong learner and humble about her impressive academic success. She enters the classroom each day prepared, curious, and open-minded; ready to contribute to the discussion, but eager to listen to the opinions of others. She loves and respects all faculty and staff on campus and the feeling is mutual.
Anne has thrived in our Orchestra program as a contributing member to the strong violin section. Her musical talents shine through chamber and quartet performances, as well as the esteemed and notable 鈥渟miling鈥 competitions, in which she, of course, usually wins. Anne Howard鈥檚 smile is somewhat of a trademark, lighting up any room, reminding us all to be present and have fun.
In her role as VP of School Spirit, Anne has been a mainstay making announcements and cajoling us to be spirited鈥 and attend games and other school events. And she herself, balancing a busy schedule, made time for many events – leading, as Anne does, from the front.
Anne embodies care in everything she does, but it is especially evident during her time with 绿帽社鈥檚 Community Service Council and Student Government. Whether helping plan a service project or serving hot chocolate or treats at a movie-night fundraiser, Anne has a wise and nuanced awareness of the power of helping others; no act of kindness is too small for Anne.
Anne鈥檚 impact on our athletic program has been phenomenal. She is a three-sport star and captain of the soccer, basketball, and lacrosse teams earning all-state honors in all three. She has been the heart, soul, and spirit of our Athletics program. While her greatest assets as a player physically include her grittiness, her ability to apply what she learns in practice to a game, and her high-level work ethic, more defining of Anne is her engaging rapport with players and coaches. Her leadership in this space makes teamwork and community building easier and more delightful for all. Anne has a way of sensing culture among any group she is a part of, and then maximizing its potential by giving the group鈥檚 culture energy and life.
Anne鈥檚 commitment to kindness remains consistent in all she does. She can be found giving anyone a ride home who needs it, cheering loudly for the Ravens at sporting event or a performance, popping in to say hello to a teacher she has worked with, and most notably, being the first to congratulate classmates in their successes and the first to console them during tough times.
Delightful, spunky, thoughtful, and focused are the words that come to mind when reflecting on Anne character and legacy. In any situation or life circumstance, Anne remains positive, action-driven, and hopeful; traits that are vastly important for present and future leaders in our world.
Anne, thank you for the many ways that you have contributed to 绿帽社鈥檚 well-being.
Congratulations!
Myles鈥 impact on our community is broad and deep.
He is a natural leader and his positive energy, optimism, and smile are contagious to all in his orbit. He is kind and compassionate and humble and channels his endless energy toward the public good. He enjoys phenomenally high emotional intelligence鈥攁 magnetism that draws students and faculty in. He radiates warmth, and authentic care for all in the 绿帽社 community.
Myles embodies our core values鈥攈e is endlessly curious, deeply responsible, and practices integrity in all that he does, all seemingly with authentic ease. Perhaps most importantly, Myles is just a good human being. Living, one of our most important values – caring, for his school and each of us in it. Myles cheerfully, happily and invitingly lifts those around him鈥攕o many of us can gain energy and well-being from time with him.
A ten-year veteran at 绿帽社, Myles is a top-notch student earning high honors throughout his time at 绿帽社 and was recently inducted into the Cum Laude Honor Society. He is intellectually curious, passionate, and self-motivated about his learning. His thorough and reflective approach to process, inquiry, and classroom content mastery has nurtured a deep love of learning. His work ethic is impressive, and he takes his educational opportunities seriously, leaning into subject matter not for achievement, recognition, or merit, but for its own intrinsic value鈥攖he true mark of a liberal arts learner!
Beyond the classroom, Myles is, as many of you know, a standout athlete, captaining both the basketball and lacrosse teams, where he is a two-time all-state honoree. Sadly, his lacrosse season was cut short with a major jaw injury, but true to form, he was back at practice and on the sidelines just a day after his surgery cheering his team on! Myles is selfless and empathic, and deeply understands how to motivate others. Myles is also a fabulous singer in the choir, leading the Troubadours with a beautifully sublime sound. He is also a talented ceramist who delights us with forms shaped in AP 3D Design.
Myles has done much to shape the culture and climate of care, embodied fully by his habits of kindness, day in and day out. He has practiced this formally during his time serving on the Upper School Peer Leadership Council through strategic discussions with peers and administrators about how we can continue to make 绿帽社 a welcoming and inclusive community to all.
Informally, and each day however, is where Myles is leaned on as an example of what it is to be a positive classmate and role model. His innate charisma and thoughtfulness lend naturally to teammates and classmates looking up to Myles as a leader; a role he assumes comfortably and responsibly.
Myles’ dedication, drive, and personal commitment to be the best he can be, is a lesson for all of us. He never acts with the intent of seeking attention or appreciation, but by always lending a hand, a laugh, or a gesture of kindness, Myles steadily works to uplift others while consistently challenging himself to improve.
Simply put, Myles Walkingshaw is exceptional, and he is just getting started.
Myles, you are an energy giver, every time you are seen in a hallway, around campus, on a court, or field, you’re warm and inviting smile and laughter, make us smile. Your enthusiasm and cheerfulness are legendary and vital to the well-being of 绿帽社.
We thank you for all of your extraordinary contributions and for making 绿帽社 and all of us better each day. Congratulations.
