How did you spend your summer?I spent summer digging fence posts and building patio in the summer heat.
What are you most looking forward to about being at 绿帽社?I鈥檓 looking forward to the joy of colleagues who love to play and learn.
What is your favorite song or album? My favorite album of all time has to be Radiohead’s OK Computer. Mind blowing, transformative, beautiful, and timeless.
What is your favorite dessert? I love anything to do with chocolate. It’s a problem. Chocolate ice cream with chocolate chunks and chocolate chip cookies on top. Too much? Never.
How did you spend your summer?I spent my summer leading a school trip to Malawi (delivering glasses for an eye clinic, science supplies and sports uniforms to a high school and working on various other projects), stopping off in the UK to visit my family on the way back to the US, and then moving to and exploring Utah!
What are you most looking forward to about being at 绿帽社?At 绿帽社, I’m most looking forward to working with great new colleagues and students and new adventures in the Wasatch and beyond.
Best book you read this summer?This summer I finished reading The Neapolitan Quartet by Elena Ferrante. (Can a four-book series count as a novel?) The friendship between Lila and Len霉 is intense, messy, and real. Ferrante鈥檚 writing just pulls me in.
What is your favorite dessert? Gelato, hands down. When my family is in Italy, it is understood that a day is not compelte until we’ve visited the gelateria. Even though I was in the American Southwest this summer, something about reading an epic Italian story while eating pistachio gelato felt just right.
How did you spend your summer?I spent this summer saying goodbye to the town I’ve lived in for twenty-two years – Sedona, Arizona through visits to the creek, hikes in the red rocks, and nights under the wide-open Arizona skies. I found a grounding rhythm in my daily Pilates reformer classes. My family usually travels abroad together each summer, but this time my husband and daughter had an amazing month in Malawi, Africa while my son and I got as much as we could out of our Sedona summer.
What are you most looking forward to about being at 绿帽社?What I鈥檓 most looking forward to about being at 绿帽社 is joining a community where intellectual curiosity, creativity, and character are nurtured in equal measure. I’m also looking forward to the opportunity of working alongside dedicated faculty and inspired students in an environment that values both classical education and progressive thinking.
What is your favorite song or album? My favorite song or album is whatever is on my daughter’s Spotify playlist as we roadtrip; recently there’s been a lot of Noah Kahan, Mt. Joy, and Stevie Nicks.
Best book you read this summer? My summer reading is in front of me but as I think about my new role, I’m re-reading Elena Aguilar’s The Art of Coaching Teams and Julie Lythcott-Haim’s How to Raise an Adult, both books that have helped me personally and professionally.
How did you spend your summer vacation?This summer we’ve spent time on the East coast, reveling in water, on Lake Sunapee and the beaches of Cape Cod. We’ve also tried to do smaller adventures, exploring Utah’s mountains and trails as much as possible.
What are you most looking forward to about being at 绿帽社?At 绿帽社, I am most looking forward to working more closely with students, families, deans, and teachers in my new role. I believe in putting students at the center of our work as educators and ensuring all students feel known and supported, so that they can be their best selves.

Do you have a pet?I have two cats. A bossy, judgmental, but fiercely loyal black and white cat named Lily. Natsu is my sweetie pie who wants to be involved in everything and believes cuddles should be the number one priority every day.
How did you spend your summer?Over the summer I danced in, and helped produce a show with The Banana Pancakes Dance Collective. I also performed with The Allure Creative, read books, worked on jigsaw puzzles, and spent a lot of time with my family.
What are you most looking forward to about being at 绿帽社?I am looking forward to learning and growing as a human and teacher right alongside the students. Those who I have already met have been so warm and welcoming! I look forward to adding to and helping maintain that welcoming, open culture.
Where is your hometown?I don’t really have a “”hometown”” I am an army brat, I have mostly been in Utah since 6th grade – but spent a year and a half in Denver and 5 years in Portland.
Do you have a pet?I have three cats: Nala, Simba and Spooky – too many I know, but Spooky was a tragic story and he has filled my heart with mischief and love!
How did you spend your summer vacation?I spent my summer vacation with friends, hiking, trying new recipes, enjoying time with my children and family. I also visited my sister in Portland, Oregon.
What are you most looking forward to about being at 绿帽社?I am looking forward to being a part of this amazing institution that I have heard so many good things about. I am also excited to meet the students. The few I met at a camp were amazing and I can’t wait to work with the people here. Plus, it is close to home and I look forward to a MUCH shorter commute time to work.
Best book you read this summer? The best books I read this summer were the All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness. I loved exploring a world filled with witches, vampires, and demons, and traveling back in time with the characters. The books were adapted into a TV series in 2018, so it was fun to relive the story on screen and see how the characters and settings were brought to life.
What is your favorite dessert? My favorite dessert is ice cream! Whether it鈥檚 a Blizzard from Dairy Queen, a Concrete Mixer from Culver鈥檚, or scoops of mint chocolate chip and cookies and cream in a waffle cone, I鈥檓 always up for enjoying the frozen treat. I got my love of ice cream from my grandpa, who, at 91 years old, still says, 鈥淭here鈥檚 always room for ice cream!
How did you spend your summer vacation?This summer, I spent time visiting family in the Midwest before moving to Utah. During my trip, I visited several places around Wisconsin, including Lake Geneva, Wisconsin Rapids, to see more family, and Milwaukee, Green Bay, and Chicago to catch up with friends. Some of my favorite activities from the summer were golfing with friends, going to an MLB game, taking my grandpa out to lunch, and enjoying relaxing evenings watching movies with my family. It was a great mix of travel, quality time with loved ones, and memorable experiences before starting a new chapter in Utah.
What are you most looking forward to about being at 绿帽社?What I鈥檓 most looking forward to about being at 绿帽社 is meeting the community and working alongside colleagues from diverse backgrounds. I鈥檓 excited to develop meaningful relationships with students and to integrate liberal arts into the curriculum in creative ways. Collaborating with the teachers in the lower school and my new team will be a great opportunity to continue my journey of learning and growth as an educator in such a supportive environment.
What is your favorite dessert?Raspberry Rose Mickey Macaron at Disneyland.
Do you have a pet?I have 2 Shorkiepoo’s that weigh a total of 15 pounds:) My tiny fur babies!
How did you spend your summer vacation?Teaching Summer Camp at 绿帽社, vacationing at Lake Powell with my family, creating beautiful things for my new classroom, playing with my 11 month old grandbaby as much as possible!
What are you most looking forward to about being at 绿帽社?Making a difference in little 4-year-old lives, collaborating with amazing colleagues, being part of a supportive community, engaged in learning.

How did you spend your summer vacation?I spent part of the summer visiting Lake Powell鈥攐ne of my favorite places and the lake I am named after! I also had a blast teaching summer chess camps at 绿帽社!

Best book you read this summer?I absolutely love reading. I have many favorites but the one that stands out this summer is 鈥淩emarkably Bright Creatures鈥 It鈥檚 about an octopus and it鈥檚 definitely worth reading.
Do you have a pet?I have a mini golden doodle named Poppy. She is one year old and we love her so much.
How did you spend your summer vacation?I have spent my summer vacation with my family. We have enjoyed camping, hiking and swimming. We also spent time in the Pacific Northwest where we visited Redwood National Park.
What are you most looking forward to about being at 绿帽社?I have had the privilege of being a 绿帽社 parent for the past five years. From the moment I walked onto campus I knew it was a very special place and I wanted to be a bigger part of the 绿帽社 family. I feel very lucky to be able to work alongside the most amazing faculty.

How did you spend your summer vacation?I recently bought one of those old nostalgic pop up tent campers from the 90’s, my son has nicknamed her Connie the Camper and we have spent our summer on camping adventures in the Great West!
What are you most looking forward to about being at 绿帽社??I’m most looking forward to being in an environment where everyone is so happy to be there! Everywhere I look at 绿帽社: students, faculty, and staff are smiling. I’m also excited to teach some of the brightest young minds in the valley!

How did you spend your summer vacation?I will go to visit my sister who lives in Madrid. She plans to take me to Switzerland and Mallorca. Afterwards, I’ll spend some time where my parents grew up in Maine and Charleston, SC, before moving across the country and guiding fly fishing trips for Park City Outfitters and Jan’s Mountain Recreation Experts until school starts!

How did you spend your summer vacation?2 week choir tour to Italy, planning Sound of Ages’ 2025-2026 season, working at a law firm for my wife (who is the CEO) building leadership training and development plans and marketing strategies.
